W. Van Bush II PT DPT
Owner, Doctor of Physical Therapy
Since 2014, W. Van Bush, PT DPT is the sole owner of Cooper & Bush Physical Therapy. Van holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Hardin Simmons University. Van graduated from Texas A & M University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Science in 1985. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Texas Tech University in 1988.
After practicing in the San Antonio area, Van moved to Fort worth. Van has held positions as a corporate clinical director and in 1995 opened Cooper & Bush Physical Therapy along with Jeff Cooper PT. Van's primary emphasis is on the treatment of orthopedic spine rehabilitation. His education has continued to focus in the treatment of back and neck injuries. Van has completed the Impairment Rating - Technical component course as required by the TWCC guidelines.
Van currently holds Clinical Instrutor Certification and is a site instructor for students from many universities in the US. He has also been a clinical instructor for a PT Intern from the Medicine Academia, Bad Kreuznach, Germany. Since 2009, Van has been a member of the Advisory Board for UT Southwestern Allied Health Sciences Physical Therapy Program. Van has also participated with the Advisory Board for the Physical Therapists Assistant program at Tarrant County College since December 2009. Van is an adjunct professor and teaches functional Anatomy with the TCC PTA program. Van is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, both Orthopedic Section and Private Practice Section.
Outside of this professional career and goals, Van is married. His wife, and best friend, Natalie, is the Business Manager for Cooper & Bush Physical Therapy. They have three adult children and Van is a grandfather. Van is active in his church and their family is heaviy involved in children, youth, and college ministries.
Joan Spurlock PT CSCS
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Joan attended Midwestern State University and then graduated from UT Southwestern Medical Center in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. Joan has been a practicing physical therapist in the Fort Worth area since 1977 and has excellent general orthopedic knowledge.
In October 2000, Joan obtained her certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She has extensive experience in foot / ankle rehabilitation and custom orthotics. Joan has been working with Cooper & Bush Physical Therapy since 1996.
Outside Of the clinic, Joan is married with two adult daughters. She has interests in sports, including biking and diving.
Sarah Kennedy PTA
Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant
Sarah graduated with an Associates in Applied Science with emphasis on Physical Therapist Assistant in 2008, from Tarrant County College. She has worked at Cooper & Bush Physical Therapy since 2008.
Sarah will provide services outlined in the physical therapy plan of care which was developed by a Licensed Physical Therapist and approved by the referring physician.
Sarah is married with two daughters. She has interests in traveling and water sports.
Lisa is a graduate of Texas tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She has worked with Cooper & Bush Physical Therapy since her graduation both as a Business Office Clerk and Rehabilitation Tech. Lisa is currently working to complete her Masters in Healthcare Administration.
Lisa is married. Outside of the clinic, Lisa enjoys her dogs and traveling.
Seth enjoys working with the patients in the gym setting and has also assisted in the business office with various duties. He is currently an undergraduate student completing his basic education classes.
Outside of the clinic, Seth is very active in his local church serving with missions and in the children's and college ministries.
Natalie Bush, RMA, BBA
Natalie graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Business Administration. she currently holds an Administrators Certification from the American Physical Therapy Association, and maintains her RMA certification through American Medical Technologies.
Natalie worked many years in the clinical setting as a Medical Assistant before beginning her career in clinical Administration with a major healthcare corporation.
Natalie began working with Jeff Cooper PT in 1989 and later joined Cooper & Bush Physical Therapy as the Business Manager. Natalie continues her education in healthcare laws and regulations, coding and billing issues, and human resource management.
Outside of the clinic, Natalie is married to Van. They have three adult children and four grandchildren. Her interests include sewing and crafting, and involvement in the local church and community.
Patient Account Representative
Robbie has worked with Cooper & Bush Physical Therapy since 2001 bringing her work in the healthcare industry to now over 25 years. Robbie has experience both in the facility and insurance side, Robbie is available to assist the patient with insurance billing and patient account follow up.
Outside of the clinic, Robbie enjoys spending time with her daughter and grandchildren.
Intake and Admissions Representative
Sandra has worked in the private practice setting for over 20 years coming to Cooper & Bush Physical Therapy in 2006. she is available to assist the patient with registration, benefit verification, prior authorization requirements, and scheduling. She will instruct the patient on their portion of the insurance benefits due and collect the patient co-payments and coinsurance amounts.
Outside of the clinic, Sandra is an avid baseball mom. She also spends time with her daughters and grandchildren.
